Michael T. Ludvigsen, Jr. is a yacht broker at Emerald Coast Marine Group’s Orange Beach, AL location at The Wharf. Michael oversees boat and yacht sales, consignment and brokerage as well as the onsite team.
Prior to joining the marine industry in 2012 and working with some of the largest retailers and yacht organizations in the region, he spent 28 years in engineering and information technology. A lifelong boating enthusiast and a certified master scuba diver and sailor, Michael was able to successfully transition his love of all things boating to a highly successful second career in the marine industry.
Besides his full time work with Emerald Coast Marine, he is passionate about helping people and volunteers with several organizations. On the marine front, Michael is a member of the Alabama Coastal Business Chamber and serves as an ambassador and on the Marine Trades Committee. He also is a trustee and member of the Perdido Bay Power Squadron, a member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Coastal Heritage Trust, and serves as commodore of the Mobile Bay Fleet of International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians. In addition, he’s a volunteer fire fighter with the Fort Morgan Fire Rescue Squad, a member of the Fairhope Sunset Rotary and active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Michael has been previously recognized by the Boy Scouts of America and is a recipient of the Silver Beaver and District Award of Merit. He has also received the Paul Harris Fellow twice by Rotary International and the Merit Mark by the US Power Squadron.
